A collection of stamps I created in order to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary. The theme for this set is "Becoming Canada" it features 3 stamps that create a 3 step pathway from the beginning of Canadian History to today's.
Stamps: The 1917 Stamp symbolizes the fight and drive Canada has. Looking back on the battles of Vimy Ridge and Passchendale. The stamp is of the "Unknown Soldier.
The 1967 Stamp symbolizes the leaps in History we have taken. Looking back on when Canada held the 67 World Expo and it was viewed over colored satalite by millions.
The 2017 Stamp symbolizes our roots. Creating a loop of what Canada is. Looking back on the Aboriginal peoples.
Each stamp is then displayed in a advertisement campaign poster. Showing the points in time where each stamp lands in relation to other big events throughout Canada's 150 years.
Each stamp is 100% illustrated and has sections cut outs to represent that Canada is still growing as a country.
